Desert Rose Resort Hurghada | Biggest Resort Ever

Desert Rose Resort Hurghada Pool

Yay! We are finally here at the beach. We have been looking forward to visit Hurghada because both of us love beach vacations. Ancient sites and temples in Egypt are stunning, and now it is time to take a break from yellowish/brownish sceneries to something blue. If you are a beach bum like us, you will love Hurghada, a famous beach resort town along Egypt’s Red Sea Coast. It is definitely one of the must visit places in Egypt. We stayed in Desert Rose Resort Hurghada and loved every part of it.

The resort is beautiful. Keep scrolling, we will show you our room and the resort!

Room

First things first, let us give you a room tour. We were lucky to get a room upgrade from standard room to family room. That is why we had an extra bed and more space to put our luggages. Our mini fridge is filled with complimentary soft drinks, juices and mineral water. The best thing is we can refill it as many times as we want.

From our balcony we can enjoy the beautiful resort and pool view with Red Sea Mountain as the backdrop. See the room from our video below:

Facilities & Resort Environment

The resort is huge. It took us 20 minutes to walk (casually) from the lobby to the end of beach area! What we loved the most got to be the lush landscaped gardens. Colourful, blooming flowers are everywhere in the resort. Besides, they have 3 huge swimming pools which include an Olympic sized pool! Unbelievable. We literally hopped from one pool to another and chilling on the sun loungers. Not only that, we also enjoyed the slides in the resort’s aqua park. Still can’t believe they even built a water park. There are gym, jacuzzi, spa, kids playground and plenty outdoor sitting areas for guests to enjoy – you can stay in the resort the whole day!

If you would like to buy souvenirs and supplies like sunscreens, floats or even shampoo, the resort has its own “shopping centre” to fulfil your needs. There is also a clinic, in case you get sick and require some medical assistance. With all these facilities, you wouldn’t need to even step out of the resort because everything is within your reach.

Beach

Towards the end of the resort, there is a huge, protected natural lagoon with golden sands. It is perfect for swimming, kayaking and windsurfing. Camel ride is available too.

On the 1 km stretch of private beachfront stands many lovely cabanas. They look like hats! We spent our afternoon on the beach enjoying the sea breeze and free drinks.

Food & Drinks

The resort has a main restaurant (The Palm) which serves food for almost 24 hours a day, 4 ala carte restaurants where you can eat for free (need to book in advance) and 11 bars. The package we had allowed us to have unlimited soft drinks and beverages in the resort. We were constantly feeding our stomachs with food. Be it long breakfast buffet stations, pizza after a swim in the afternoon, supper in the midnight – our tummies really thanked us for the generous supplies! If you don’t end your trip with a food baby, are you really having a good vacation? – Janet Ling, 2019.

Activities

To keep the guests entertained, there are many activities carried out throughout the day. From aqua work out, sunset yoga, dance classes to night shows in amphitheatre, you will not feel bored at all.

Sunset Plane Hurghada

In short, we enjoy our stay in Desert Rose Resort Hurghada. Although we were sad that we missed the opportunity to scuba dive and snorkel in the famous Red Sea (also one of the main purpose why we visit Hurghada), we are grateful that the resort kept our time occupied and fed us with good food. Maybe we will be back next time, who knows?
